To be a superman in FIFA 16

It somewhat reminds me of Hearthstone (which also has a lot of randomness in it) but the best players play so that the chances of something not going your way are minimized, the same could be said for FIFA where you have to play slow and not try to LB+Y to your striker as soon as you're in possession

I just gave an example of me having 15 shots on target all over the goal with their keeper playing like superman and saving Fifa 16 coins ios, then the other team hits it straight at my keepers chest weakly and scores. How do You expect me to minimise the chance of that happening?

And it's not like that's a rare occasion of bad luck. Happens to me ALL the time. Happens to some youtubers (like spencer fc) all the time. Happens to people complaining on reddit all the time.

I don't think scripting exists in the way that one team is decided before the game and that team will win no matter what. But it does feel like a lot of the time, waaaaaaay too often for it to be "random", the game just picks one team to fuck over in every way possible, making it much harder to win

f:id:fifa16coinsfut:20150713163714j:plain

Saying that those 15 shots never go in all because of scripting is purely shoving the blame on the game. Try watching replays of those shots, maybe you shot too quick/wrong corner etc, most of the time there is a mistake made by you that puts you in a difficult position, where a random moment is critical. I've started looking at my own mistakes and have noticed a big difference with the amount of BS goals I concede

Keepers in UT are overpowered, so that the only shots that get in are tap ins from 5 meters or less, or ocassionaly long shots from 20+ meters. Stop trying to shoot from anywhere between that as the keeper will fly and get it. Also use this to your advantage and let people take these shots.

There is no scripting, bullshit goals WILL happen where you can't do anything, but most of the ones that you don't score/concede are your fault for various reasons. My advice to you is, after each game to ask yourself what Exactly went wrong and how can you avoid making it happen again. Keep in mind that sometimes the opposition will just outplay you.

It's scripting and it doesn't reward a player for playing more and getting better. What does it matter when the game randomly decides your players will perform or not. It's Fut 16 coins toss at the start of every game and it's pretty disgusting.

FIFA 16: intelligent transfer system

A vaguely realistic transfer system would go a long way towards improving both flavours of career mode tenfold. As an example, I am currently in the middle of a player career, playing for Stoke, playing as a central midfielder. At the start of the game, Stoke have two right wingers on loan. In the second season, these two are now gone and the only right wingers remaining are in their early thirties and deteriorating rapidly. In real life, those loans might be made permanent, or new right wingers would be bought in during the close season, but this just hasn't happened.

In my first season as a pro, I was loaned out to Sheffield Wednesday. I got them promoted and they then didn't sign a single player to help them stay up. Consequently, they are easily the lowest rated team in the division. Again, that wouldn't happen in real life. It would just be nice to have a vaguely intelligent transfer system, where team managers identify their weaknesses and buy new players to fit the system.

Still, in FIFA 12 I played against Tottenham in career mode and they had Gareth Bale playing in goal because their goalkeepers were all injured. Not strictly relevant, but I've never been able to bring that up before.

f:id:fifa16coinsfut:20150717113012j:plain

This is very much an annoying bug. fut16coin remember thinking it was novel at first. It seemed like a nifty realistic step in my player's development to be loaned out. However, getting loaned thrice was my breaking point.
I decided to spite Wenger and force a move when I returned a la Fabregas. Left with Rosicky to West Ham and won the league and Europa. I embarassed Arsenal each time we played them and even did the Henry celebration in front of their supporters.

Two things i would like to change - One: get rid of that global transfer thing they introduced in 14, imo its pointless. Two: change it back to how at the end of each season you can either chose to remain at the club you are at or accept one of the contracts offered by another club, compared to now how you have to apply for jobs in a different section. They might not seem much to some of you guys to personally i preferred it how i mentioned.

Where players earned exp points for playing, playing well, making the bench, sub apperances, etc. And then you got to spend the exp on the stats you liked? I really loved that and wish they would to buy Fifa 16 coins. I know you could get Kuyt to like a 106 lb and Rooney to a 109 rb, but who cares. It was fun and made me feel more connected. It also put me in much closer touch with having the knowledge of who can do what on my team and where certain players need to improve.

FIFA 16: choose to buy or not

Honestly, FIFA 15 is one of the worst FIFA's in recent years. Almost none of the problems in the recent games have been fixed, a new and revamped "ball physics" is barely noticeable yet the game's entire advertising campaign was focused on that.

Online is still as terrible as ever. It seems goalkeeping errors are even WORSE than previous games, half-way line shots get scored frequently because the AI goalkeeper just spazzes out. There's also terrible teammate AI, I often see players standing around doing nothing while I'm making runs and they won't support me some FIFA 16 Ultimate Team Coins. This year's PES feels much more natural, and you have less frustration due to the game's mechanics being broken. I've had multiple losses in Ultimate Team because the game disconnects at the end of a match I won and gives me the DNF bullshit.

f:id:fifa16coinsfut:20150721121543j:plain

I love career mode, but it is basically the same except some noticeable (for me) improvements to player growth and that players over 30 don't just drop ratings dramatically any more.

You could play FIFA 14 and have basically the same experience in FIFA 15. Why haven't they added anything new? Like some actual depth in career mode? If you have a team in the Football Championship win the Premier League in 5 or 6 years, why do you still have less than $20 mil a year on budget? I recall older FIFA career modes having the option to chose your sponsorship and affects how much budget you have, why in the world did they take content out of the game?

With the recent complete bombshell of NHL 15, and Madden 25 being horrible and Madden 15 being ok, I think I'll pass on FIFA 16 unless I see some actual improvement on the game.

No awareness of space in FIFA 16

I've tried everything imaginable with central midfield, believe me. fut16coin don't agree at all that there's a "remedy." You can merely mitigate the stupidity, not cure it.

I've basically started playing with a single anchor in every career mode now because any sort of midfield two will eventually end up mindlessly making forward runs whether it's Busquets or Fabregas, no matter what I'm telling them. Of course even with a 4-3-3 it's not perfect...the threshold for rotating positions in central midfield is so fucking loose that your anchor will invariably end up switching to one of the other spots and going forward.

This is all only scratching the surface of what I'm talking about with central midfield play though. Yeah the biggest issue is mindless forward runs, but even if you take steps to mitigate that issue, they still have no awareness of space at all. Playing PES really opened my eyes to how bad FIFA 15 midfield play is. Popping it around the center of the pitch in PES 15 is fucking glorious in comparison. The amount of micromanaging required to make FIFA central midfield not retarded is astonishing.

f:id:fifa16coinsfut:20150717113012j:plain

Agreed 100% about the central defender behavior. Doesn't matter how high you shove your line up or how aggressive you tell the team to press...if a striker drops off and wants the ball played to feet, no one will follow him. All you have to do is watch a real game of football to see how rare it is for a forward to receive his ball with back to goal and turn completely uncontested.
In my opinion this is probably because EA is so concerned with through balls being "OP" that they don't want the AI defenders getting too close to players off the ball.

It helps have a guy sitting in the space that's there between the back line and midfeild, but I do feel player tendencies still affect how far up a player positions himself. Telling Matic to 'hold back while attacking' is much more effective than telling Fabregas to get Fifa 16 news. What I do want to fix is CBs following the opposition strikers when they check to the damn ball.

I've got 3 CBs, there's only 1 opposing striker. the AI should know to follow the striker, or at least give me the option to have that as an immediate setting switch in all gameplays.

FIFA 16 US Cover: Alex Morgan to Join Lionel Messi

That's probably the case but it's dumb that it is. Messi is in no way the most attractive male footballer out there but he's fine to be on the cover.. oh well. I'm just happy they have women's teams finally.

Edit: Alex Morgan also rocks and it's awesome she's on the cover regardless. I hope I didn't come across like I was punishing her for being attractive and saying she didn't deserve it? That'd be silly. It's great to see this cover.

Exactly and that's the problem. Here's another example: movies, television... even with loads of guys who are in good shape, they're typically not as pressured to be attractive while the female costar typically is.
E.g. If Nathan Fillion is asked to star in something, so long as it's not a superhero film that involves him being super in shape to look the part, he would more or less be good to go despite being a little chubby. His female costar? Probably wouldn't have the same luxury. That's just an example, I'm sure there are exceptions to the rule as well.

You were probably downvoted because anything even resembling talk about discrimination is usually hit with a barrage of "LOL GO BACK 2 THE KITCHEN FEMINAZI". You are right, though. Even look at the majority of big budget tv shows/movies. Most of the roles with significant depth are given to male actors, though it's definitely better than it was. A lot of it still seems like a man's club though. In this case I'd say they chose Alex Morgan because she's comfortably the most marketable (though that's obviously significantly due to the fact that she's really beautiful). But like you said, at least there's a woman on the cover, it's a step in the right direction!

Oh I know. I don't let downvotes stop me from expressing my thoughts. Any of the players from the USWNT would have made me happy to see on the cover from Morgan to Lloyd to Rapinoe to Wambach so it's cool.
This E3 has been a nice step with FUT16coin Mobille: Dishonored II heavily advertised the female character instead of the playable male character, Rise of the Tomb Raider, ReCore, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Fifa 16, Mirror's Edge, etc. It was actually pretty cool seeing more females advertised and either female-led games or just more games with two protagonists. Plus there were various games like Fallout 4 which may have opted to run through the demo with a guy but made sure everyone knew you could play as the wife instead, up to you because of course it's a Bethesda game after all.

On a side note, am I the only one who's noticed that you see Morgan all over the place these days? Commercials, candy bar wrappers, now a video game cover. She's kind of pulling a Russel Wilson. When he was under that hilariously cheap rookie contract he was on every other commercial during games, making up for the fact that he was making chump change for an elite NFL QB. I'd imagine this has to be the same situation with Morgan, there's no way professional women footballer is a high paying carreer so she has to sell her image all over the place while its hot.

The code and assets of FIFA 16

For those wondering why more Madden stadiums aren't in FIFA - you're mixing two things. Here's licensing 101 in the game industry:
What you're saying is the same as "Activision make Call of Duty and Skylanders - why won't they let me play with my Skylanders characters in CoD?? LAZY Activision"

Maybe that example is extreme but you have to recognize that the FIFA and Madden video games are made for two different customers. The NFL pays for Madden; FIFA pays for Fifa coins. The NFL paid EA money to create CenturyLink Field. That model and everything associated with it in the game (textures, crowd models, camera nodes, sounds, etc) are IP. That IP is owned by the NFL - not EA. EA is just the developer, they do not own the stadium.

The same is true for Revs. They can't just take work that was created for one customer (NFL) on their dime and reuse that IP for another customer. They would need to establish a new deal to create a new model - or license the model from the NFL for use in another game.

I can't say for sure 100% all that go into these decisions. But fut16coin can promise you that it's not as simple as people think it is. EA is not the IP holder of those assets. They are just the developer. There's no way the NFL is going to let another company "own" anything related to the NFL. EA is compensated handsomely for the development (I'm sure this includes royalties) of each game but they don't get to own the code and assets. The customers (NFL, FIFA) own that.

FIFA has been so weak for so long... they just put zero love into the game because everyone just gives them money from Ultimate Team.. which is a crappy game mode.

I'm playing manager mode as Fulham right now and they don't even have Craven Cottage as a stadium... so many holes in the game. It's obvious that the interns they have coding this crap don't even play it.

They did go ahead and add all of the Premier League stadiums in 15 which was a pretty big coup. Obviously Fulham are a bit removed from the PL now and don't look likely to get back any time soon.

Not sure if they'll remove the relegated teams' stadiums or just add in the new ones on top of what was there last year or what.

I really hope they take me in because I'd love to actually be in the office to see how FIFA developers talk about the game. There's so much disparity between the developers and the actual playing community, I'm interested to see how that'll go.

FIFA 16: the impact engine

With Fifa 16 coming soon, there is a lot of hope things will be fixed from the previous Fifa, and we can get the Fifa coins. But, looking at the problems, i'm not sure we can hold too much hope.

The impact engine being introduced into Fifa 12 has completely changed the way the game is played, and although it may have some advantages, with it brought a whole host of problems.

Defending is how it is because when you tackle an opponent, the impact engine kicks in and the two players 'battle' for the ball, creating players bumping into each other, glitches, unintended fouls, and scrappy play as the ball bounces between legs and the engine can't keep up.

How many times have you had your own players run into each other, the impact engine deciding both of them must fall over. How many times have you given away fouls WITHOUT pressing a button, just player models colliding and the impact engine doing crazy stuff and giving away fouls.

A classic example of this is the amount of penalties you can given away by simply standing behind the opposition striker as he shoots. As the opposition striker pulls his leg back and begins to bring it forward, his leg can clip your defenders limbs, even if you haven't pressed tackle. The impact engine registers the contact, sends the striker doing a cartwheel and you give away a foul without pressing a single thing.

f:id:fifa16coinsfut:20150824121738j:plain

This also doesn't help for goalkeepers (although, the impact engine isn't entirely to blame here). When the keeper saves a shot but the ball spills out infront of him, all sorts of nonsense can happen when the keeper goes into his post-save animation, such as simply standing up. As the keeper stands up, his leg might connect with the ball, impact engine registers it, and he accidentally kicks the ball into his own net.

It is also terrible when keepers come out for a 1v1, completely destroy the oposition striker without touching the ball, but the game doesn't register it as a foul. Im pretty sure EA knows its fucked because in previous Fifas keepers could smother balls at lightening pace to prevent collisons happening frequently. With Fifa 15 they tried to rework the keepers so they wouldn't have to cover for it, and we all have seen how that turned out.

I'm not saying the impact engine is the ONLY reason why a Fifa game is bad, but i'm saying it has its hand in most problems. I mean, we're 4 soon to be 5 iterations of the impact engine in and we STILL have players doing cartwheels after being tackled, weird flips and falls when players bump into another, and a whole host of other shit.

Take one look at youtube of the amount of 'Fifa Funnies' and cheap Fifa 16 coins, and most are from players doing weird shit because of the impact engine.
For a contrast, PES (which has its own other problems), does a far better job at player impacts because it doesn't use anything even close to the Fifa impact engine.

And yeah, it can be fixed and tweaked, but as I said we are 4 iterations of it in and it's still pretty awful.
